Abstract

Vocabulary is one of the most important aspects of language that supports English learners in learning a language. This study aims to inform readers that there is a simple way to practice English that can also be used anywhere and anytime. The technique that the author can use is to use English songs in online music player applications, namely: JOOX and Spotify to improve students' vocabulary skills. The use of music and songs in the process of learning English is not new. The purpose of using songs is because most students feel bored when listening to the same type of audio in class. And using songs can increase students' desire to learn, become interesting, fun and more focused. The habit of listening to English songs can be a practice for students in listening skills. The use of songs in online music player applications will improve students' listening skills and vocabulary.
