However, numerous recent researches indicate that middle managers are not receiving the relevant support and training they require to fulfil their roles. While other researchers argued that there has been some improvement, there continues to be a lack of adequate and effective training for middle managers prior to them taking up their roles, including those aspiring to their positions. Furthermore, it identified the fact that positions in middle management are increasing in number as well as complexity, yet middle managers are being appointed to the positions without the relevant support or training. Thus, the teacher’s perceptions are needed to highlight more about the importance of training middle managers in leadership and management skills. This study is a survey study which is aimed to get an empirical data about teachers' perceptions of training middle managers in leadership and management skills at Al-Hidayah foundation. The 44 students were selected for this study using a purposive sampling technique, they were selected from the population of all the 10th grade students at State 3 Senior High School Tangerang District. A vocabulary test and a writing test were used to collect the data from the participants in this study. The Pearson Product Moment Correlation was used to examine the relationship between the two variables. The result shows that the coefficient between variable X and variable Y is 0.682. The criteria of correlation between two variables among 0.600 – 0.800 shows a high or strong correlation. The significant level at 5% is r-table = 0.297, it means rxy > r-table (0.682 > 0.297). The r-table significant level at 1 % is 0.384, it means that the rxy > r-table (0.682 > 0.384). The result of the analyses shows that there is a positive and significant correlation between students’ vocabulary mastery and students’ writing skill of State 3 Senior High School Tangerang District. Therefore, the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. The descriptive qualitative method was used as the research design in order to achieve the research's goal. This study's data included words, sentences, and paragraphs from the novel's dialogues that represented 'things' and 'signs,' as previously stated. Khotbah di Atas Bukit Novel itself served as the data source. The area that has been analyzed by other researches was found in Islamic values and prophetic dimensions in the novel while the symbols (things and signs) as one types of figurative languages has become the aspect that has not been yet explored. The findings revealed that things to be used were discovered between the main character himself, namely Barman, who was more concerned with worldly materials, and Barman's anxiety in facing this life. Meanwhile, things to enjoy were described by Barman's opposite character, Humam. Humam's consistent association of the worlds with God's existence influenced Barman's perspective on life and attitude.
2024-09-08T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2022 Foremost Journal https://ejournal.unis.ac.id/index.php/Foremost/article/view/2307The Effect of Using Grammarly Application to Improve Students' Writing Skill at Tenth Grade of SMAN 14 Kota Tangerang in Academic Year 2020/20212022-02-28T15:13:57+07:00Isnaniah Isnaniahisnaniah@unis.ac.idAnna Maulidaannamaulida14@gmail.com
The research aimed to know whether there is a significant effect of using the Grammarly application to improve students’ writing skill at tenth grade of SMAN 14 Kota Tangerang.
