PENERAPAN HAK-HAK WARGA BINAAN PADA LEMBAGA PEMASYARAKATAN PEMUDA KELAS IIA TANGERANG DITINJAU DARI PERSPEKTIF HAK ASASI MANUSIA

Abstract

Correctional Institutions are places to provide guidance to Prisoners and Correctional Students, which in general are not optimal in their application. In connection with this, the author is interested in conducting research in one of the Correctional Institutions, namely the Class IIA Tangerang Youth Correctional Institution which aims to find out about how to implement the granting of the rights of inmates in the Class IIA Tangerang Youth Correctional Institution; and what are the barriers to implementation. This research method is juridical and empirical type which is analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results show that the implementation of the rights of the inmates in the Tangerang Youth Prison has been going quite well, the rights of inmates in the Correctional Law and non-derogable rights have also been implemented. However, the limitations of facilities and infrastructure, the behavior of inmates, and the quality of prison officers greatly affect the implementation of these rights.
