JURIDICAL ANALYSIS OF SEXUAL VIOLENCE MITIGATION CHILDREN IN TANGERANG CITY

Abstract

Criminal acts of sexual violence on a daily basis are increasingly troubling society. that's why the Tangerang City government immediately made efforts to overcome sexual violence against children by giving an active role to the Integrated Service Center for Women and Children Empowerment (P2TP2A) of Tangerang City which is a unit under the Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control and Family Planning (DP3AP2KB) of Tangerang City. This problem and research is what is behind someone committing a criminal act of sexual violence against children in Tangerang City and how the role of the Tangerang City Regional Government and P2TP2A Tangerang City in overcoming sexual violence against children in Tangerang City. With the aim of knowing how prevention and countermeasures are carried out by the Tangerang City government. The method used is empirical juridical, namely a study that uses literature data and field data, which is descriptive analysis so that primary data and secondary data are analyzed qualitatively. The theoretical basis refers to Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Sexual Violence, Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection, and Tangerang City Regional Regulation Number 2 of 2015 concerning Child Protection, as well as theories related to legal certainty, criminology and legal protection theory. The role of the government in efforts to overcome sexual violence against children in the city of Tangerang with P2TP2A Tangerang City as the front line to deal with sexual violence against by carrying out prevention, mitigation, and recovery. It is hoped that the government, parents, children and the community will be more concerned and sensitive to incidents of sexual violence and not consider it a taboo, so that efforts to overcome sexual violence against children can run optimally and reduce the risk of sexual violence and long-term effects on victims
