258-262 THE USE OF ENGLISH SONG AS A TOOL FOR LISTENING SKILLS

Abstract

Currently English is one of the international languages that must be learned by everyone. There are 4 Basic English that must be mastered, namely, reading, (reading), writing (writing), speaking (speaking), and listening (listening). Everyone is declared perfect in English if they master the 4 basics. In this study the author discusses one of the basics already mentioned, namely listening. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted at the school of MAN 3 Tangerang, totaling 21 students of class X IPA 1. The method of obtaining data for this research was by conducting interviews and post-tests. The results of this study are listening to songs can improve students' listening skills.
