Abstract

ABSTRACT: This research aims to: describe the forms of the hierarchy of needs of the main character in the novel Ancika Dia Yang Bersamaku in 1995 by Pidi Baiq. This research uses Humanistic Psychology studies using Abraham Moslow’s theory. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The source of data in this research novel Ancika Dia Yang Bersamaku in 1995 by Pidi Baiq, which was published in 2021 and consists of 340 pages. The data collection technique in this research is using library research, reading techniques and note-taking techniques. Data analysis techniques by identifying, classifying, drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that there are five forms of hierarchy of needs found in the novel Ancika Dia yang Bersamaku 1995 by Pidi Baiq. These forms of needs are physiological needs, protection and security, love and a sense of belonging, respect from other people, self-actualization. And from that, researchers found many forms of needs that occur. This need occurs in wider society.
