KOMUNIKASI APARATUR DESA DALAM PELAYANAN PUBLIK STUDI DI KANTOR DESA MEGAMENDUNG KABUPATEN BOGOR
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the form, effectiveness, and supporting and inhibiting factors of communication among village officials in public services at the Megamendung Village Office, Bogor Regency. Communication is a crucial aspect in the provision of public services, as it enables village officials to convey information, receive aspirations, and provide responsive and accountable services to the public. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data collection techniques included in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation with village officials and community informants. The results indicate that communication among village officials is both formal and informal, with vertical and horizontal communication patterns. Although communication generally operates quite well, obstacles exist, such as a lack of communication skills, limited information resources, and low community participation. Furthermore, factors supporting communication include the leadership of the village head, a culture of community mutual cooperation, and the increasingly optimized use of digital media. To improve the quality of public services, it is necessary to increase the communication capacity of village officials, maximize the use of information technology, and strengthen community involvement in the service process.
