Character education in Islamic boarding schools (*pondok pesantren*) serves as a crucial pillar in shaping a generation characterised by noble morals, integrity, and responsibility. However, the reality on the ground reveals that deviant behaviour among students (*santri*) persists despite the strict enforcement of rules. Repressive disciplinary approaches are considered ineffective in fostering internal awareness and a sense of responsibility. This study aims to examine the implementation of a "logical consequences" strategy to address student behavioural misconduct at the Al-Ma’arif Bilae Modern Islamic Boarding School. It covers the types of misconduct, the planning and execution of the strategy, and its impact on behavioural change and character formation. The study employs a qualitative method using a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, involving key informants such as the school leadership, supervisors (*pengasuh*), and students. Data analysis was conducted through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that student misconduct is classified into minor (e.g., arriving late for congregational prayer), moderate (skipping study sessions), and severe (fighting, smoking, or violating religious norms) categories. The logical consequences strategy is designed based on the boarding school's values, the severity of the violation, and the objectives of guidance, adhering to principles of relatedness, fairness, respect, and consistency. Implementation involves educational actions directly linked to the violation—carried out without anger and accompanied by reflective communication. This strategy has positively impacted discipline, personal responsibility, moral awareness, and the harmony of relationships between students and supervisors. Furthermore, an educational guidance culture is beginning to replace the practice of physical punishment. This research contributes to the development of a logical-consequences-based character guidance model relevant to modern Islamic boarding schools.
