Abstract
This study aims to determine and analyze the influence of the work environment (X) on work ethic (Y) and its implications for employee performance (Z) at the Soekarno-Hatta Meteorological Station. The work environment needs to be considered to anticipate employee boredom in daily routines in carrying out work. If this factor is not considered, it will affect the employee's work ethic which will ultimately have implications for employee performance. The research method used is a quantitative method. The population in this study amounted to 83 employees. The researcher will use a saturated sample, namely the entire population of the study, which is 83 employees at the Soekarno-Hatta Meteorological Station. The sample collection technique used is library techniques and the distribution of questionnaires in the form of statements that must be filled out by a predetermined sample. The analysis of the data analysis requirements test consists of validity tests and reliability tests, while the technical data analysis used in this study consists of path analysis methods and research hypothesis tests (partial tests and path analysis hypothesis tests). The results of the study indicate that the work environment influences work ethic, but does not directly affect employee performance. Meanwhile, work ethic influences employee performance. Therefore, the work environment can influence employee performance through work ethic at the Soekarno-Hatta Meteorological Station.
