Abstract

This study aims to examine the implementation of teacher and staff training and development at SMK Negeri 12 Kolaka and to identify factors influencing its success. This study employed a qualitative research method with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, staff, and the principal, direct observations at the school, and documentation related to training and development. Data analysis employed an interactive analysis model, including data collection, data reduction, data presentation, verification and conclusion drawing, and data validity testing. The results indicate that the implementation of teacher and staff training and development at SMK Negeri 12 Kolaka has been successful, with several significant successes in improving the skills and competencies of teachers and staff. This study also found that the success of training and development implementation is influenced by several factors, such as the principal's commitment, active participation of teachers and staff, and effective evaluation. Therefore, this study recommends that the school increase its commitment and support for teacher and staff training and development, and conduct more effective evaluations to improve the quality of training and development.
