PENGARUH PENILAIAN KINERJA TERHADAP ETOS KERJA MASINIS DI PT. MRT JAKARTA DENGAN MOTIVASI KERJA SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING
Abstract
This study aims to determine the effect of performance appraisal on the work ethic of machinists through work motivation as an intervening variable at PT. MRT Jakarta. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a census method, with a sample used in this study of 65 respondents from a total population of 72. The sample selection was carried out randomly to ensure the accuracy and representativeness of the research results. Data were collected through distributing questionnaires to research respondents. Then, the information obtained will be analyzed through validity tests, reliability tests, descriptive analysis, classical assumption tests, regression tests, path analysis, and hypothesis tests (t-tests). The results of the study indicate that performance appraisals have a positive and significant effect on work motivation with a t-value of 4.214 and a significance of 0.000. In addition, performance appraisals have a positive and significant effect on work ethic with a t-value of 2.045 and a significance of 0.045. Furthermore, work motivation influences work ethic with a significance of 0.014. The results of the mediation test using bootstrapping show that work motivation significantly mediates the effect of performance appraisal on work ethic. Therefore, it can be concluded that performance appraisals directly and indirectly influence the work ethic of PT MRT Jakarta's train drivers, with work motivation as an intervening variable.
