ANALISIS MANAJEMEN BADAN AMIL ZAKAT NASIONAL (BAZNAS) KOTA SORONG DALAM PENERIMAAN DANA ZAKAT, INFAQ, DAN SEDEKAH

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Sorong City in receiving zakat, infaq, and alms (ZIS) funds, focusing on the process, mechanisms, and supporting and inhibiting factors. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The main sources of this study were the Chairperson and administrators of BAZNAS Sorong City. The results show that the receipt of ZIS funds at BAZNAS Sorong City is carried out through several mechanisms, namely direct payments (counters), bank transfers, zakat pick-up services, and the use of digital technology (QRIS and SIMBA). The discussion on Human Resources (HR) shows that the limited number and competence of amil is a significant obstacle in optimizing ZIS fund receipts. The many tasks that must be carried out by amil reduce service effectiveness, while mastery of digital technology among HR is not evenly distributed. Nevertheless, the dedication, commitment, and loyalty of existing amil are strengthening factors in maintaining the operational sustainability of BAZNAS Sorong City. This study concludes that the management of ZIS fund receipts at the Sorong City BAZNAS (National Zakat Agency) has been running quite well, but still requires strengthening in the areas of human resources, digital technology, and community outreach strategies.
