PENGARUH NILAI TUKAR TERHADAP PERTUMBUHAN LABA DENGAN BIAYA OPERASIONAL SEBAGAI VARIABEL INTERVENING
Abstract
Exchange rates have a significant influence on various economic aspects, including a company's revenue growth. In this case, operational costs are often one of the variables that can mediate the effect of exchange rates on company revenue. This study aims to determine the effect of exchange rates on company profit growth, with operational costs as an intervening variable. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. The population in this study is data on company profits, operational costs, and exchange rates obtained from company financial reports and BPS. The sampling method in this study uses a non-probability sampling method with a purposive sampling technique. The sample in this study is secondary data used, namely the middle exchange rate data in units, operational costs in units, and profit growth in percent units from 2014-2023. Meanwhile, the data analysis techniques used are descriptive statistics, simple regression analysis, path analysis, coefficient of determination analysis, and t-test. The results show that the exchange rate does not have a significant influence on company profit growth. However, it has a significant and positive effect on company operating costs. Furthermore, operating costs do not significantly impact corporate profit growth and do not mediate the effect of inflation on profit growth.
