Abstract
This study aims to analyse the influence of performance appraisal, training, and career development on employee performance at Harita Shipping Kediuk. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Partial Least Squares - Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) method using SmartPLS software. Data were collected from 65 employee respondents at Harita Shipping Kediuk. The research instrument was tested for validity and reliability through outer model analysis, while the relationship between variables was tested through inner model analysis. The results of the analysis show that: 1) Training has a positive influence on employee performance. The path coefficient (0.432) with a T-statistic value (2.888) and P-value (0.004) indicates that effective training programmes contribute significantly to improving performance. 2) Career development has a positive influence on employee performance. The highest path coefficient (0.463) with a T-statistic value (4.147) and P-value (0.000) proves that clear career opportunities and support are key factors in driving employee performance. 3) Performance appraisal has a negative effect on employee performance. The negative path coefficient (-0.055) with a P-value of 0.739 indicates that the existing appraisal system does not directly contribute to improved performance. 4) Simultaneously, performance appraisal, training, and career development significantly influence employee performance, with an R2 value of 0.628, indicating that this model has moderate predictive power.
