IMPLEMENTASI MISI PERGURUAN TINGGI ISLAM MELALUI STRATEGI PENGAJARAN DOSEN DI SEKOLAH TINGGI AGAMA ISLAM AR-RIDHO BAGANSIAPIAPI

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the institutional mission at Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam (STAI) Ar-Ridho Bagansiapiapi in producing qualified, professional, and noble-character graduates based on multimedia education through lecturer teaching strategies. A qualitative approach with a descriptive case study design was employed. Research subjects were selected via purposive sampling, comprising the Head of STAI Ar-Ridho Bagansiapiapi, Heads of Study Programs (Islamic Education Management, Islamic Economics, Islamic Religious Education, and Communication & Islamic Broadcasting), lecturers, and undergraduate students. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant classroom observations, and document analysis of Course Learning Plans (RPS) and institutional self-evaluation reports. Data analysis followed the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana, involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification complemented by source and method triangulation. The results revealed that: (1) The institution has integrated its multimedia-based mission into Strategic Plans and curricula, though implementation is constrained by gaps in laboratory infrastructure and network connectivity; (2) Lecturers' teaching strategies rely primarily on basic to intermediate multimedia tools, including interactive PowerPoint presentations, digital modules, instructional videos, and Google Classroom, seamlessly integrated with moral character building; (3) Key barriers include limited ICT literacy among senior faculty, maintenance budget constraints, and unstable internet connections in the Rokan Hilir region; and (4) Students' professional competence and engagement significantly improve in courses utilizing interactive multimedia combined with case-based learning.
