PENGARUH USIA, KEPEMIMPINAN, PERSEPSI, DAN MOTIVASI TERHADAP PARTISIPASI MASYARAKAT DALAM PEMBANGUNAN WISATA CEKDAM LOKU UJUNG DI DESA WAIRASA
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of age, leadership, perception, and motivation on community participation in the development of the Cekdam Loku Ujung tourism destination in Wairasa Village, Umbu Ratunggay Barat District, Central Sumba Regency. The research method employed is a correlational quantitative approach utilizing Spearman rank correlation and t-test statistical analysis. The research population comprised all 132 adult community members in Hamlet 03 RW 05 of Wairasa Village. A sample of 100 respondents was selected using Slovin's formula with a 5% margin of error via proportionate random sampling. The statistical analysis revealed that (1) age (X1) has a positive and significant influence on community participation (Rs = 0.494, t-calculated = 5.624 >= t-table = 1.661); (2) leadership (X2) significantly and positively influences community participation (Rs = 0.503, t-calculated = 5.761 >= t-table = 1.661); (3) perception (X3) has a positive and significant influence on community participation (Rs = 0.511, t-calculated = 5.884 >= t-table = 1.661); and (4) motivation (X4) exhibits a positive and significant influence on community participation (Rs = 0.525, t-calculated = 6.106 >= t-table = 1.661). Motivation emerged as the strongest driving factor for local community involvement in rural community-based tourism development in Central Sumba.
