Integration of technology in the educational paradigm brings a new approach for delivering some courses. Smart Factory System is one of the technical courses that has been elevated. In the old days, this course struggled to achieve its pedagogical outcomes because of a lack of practical and hands-on learning experiences. This study aims to develop an augmented reality (AR) application, specially designed to improve learning experiences by providing an immersive and interactive tool. The waterfall model will be used as the system development life cycle framework. Some phases would be processed in this study, including planning, analysis, design, and implementation. The study resulted in a successful AR application that could produce an interactive 3D model that represents the Xite Automax 520 machine. This concludes that the app is applicable to improve learning experiences for the students of the Smart Factory System class. Some of the limitations had been discovered, such as no empirical efficacy study, only focusing on a single specific machine, and limitations of interactive functionalities in the apps. Future research could elaborate on the quantitative learning impact, expanding to other industrial engineering subjects, and incorporating real-time troubleshooting.Downloads
